ALLPRESS ROASTERY AND CAFE
The project that started it all
The first project ever undertaken by Open Creative Studio was Allpress Roastery and Cafe in Collingwood.

Before this building became Allpress' home in Melbourne it was a former textile factory and warehouse. The brief required that the space accommodate a new office space, a coffee roasting and distribution area, tasting lab, collaboration and meeting space, cafe and kitchen area, and a luscious green zone.
The design of the refurbished site features extensive planting throughout the courtyard and carpark, reclaimed materials from the original factory, bespoke steel and timber windows and doors, and an 8kw solar array.
IT'S IN THE DETAILS
Many of the elements in the building were custom made by the amazing craftsmen at Ficus Constructions and Red Steel. The include all of the steel windows and doors, staircase balustrades, and timber inlays throughout the project.
